We recently finished a mural/sign-age for the El Segundo Teen center. Click the images to see a closer view.
As you can see, the old sign-age (while being fine work and lasting years) was on it’s last leg:

After a meeting to discern their goals for the work, I submitted a sketch that they approved:

The city staff painted the wall blue and we picked final colors for my work and I began soon after. Having a built-in 7″ grid on the wall certainly does helps in planning the letters out, but going back in with tiny brushes to fill in all the mortar lines makes for some time-consuming work.

However, a few days later, I was done!

I also received a fantastic thank you note, created by the kids and signed on the inside, as well as a photo, suitable for framing!

We couldn’t ask for a more satisfying job, thanks all!
