Neal is also a comic artist, who contributes to print work and webcomics. Online, he is known for large formal experimentation, and non-linear storytelling like his comic “the Jerk” his series “The Halcyon Years” and his collaboration with Alexander Danner “Five Ways to Love A Cockroach”, which was shown in MoCCA’s “Infinite Canvas” art exhibition.
His print work has been found in anthologies like “Negative Burn”, “Side A”, “Split Lip” and most recently “The Kids of Widney High” from Atomic Basement Press. He is currently working on a series of adaptations of American folk songs with Sam Costello and also compiling research his own series about the town he grew up in.
